Cancer Survivorship

Now that your treatment has finished you may have special healthcare, emotional and financial concerns and you may need help in managing issues related to surviving cancer.

Most important is to have a treatment summary incorporated into a Survivorship Plan which helps you plan for living well beyond cancer.

At the very least a Survivorship Plan should include:

  • All diagnostic and treatments you have received
  • A treatment summary written by your medical team

Please call Beacon Oncology Nurse Advocates if you do not have a Survivorship Plan - we can help.

The journey you have traveled has been difficult which can lead to apprehension and fear that the cancer might return. There are various concerns that may limit your ability to become a thriver survivor.

Some of your concerns may be:

  • Regarding body changes
  • Pain-related issues
  • Lifestyle management
  • Emotional concerns (feelings, relationship, life changes)
  • Day to day concerns (insurance, employment and financial matters)
